So i started to ride the Yamaha i started to go a bit ..

But first and foremost Uccio , my manager and best friend , he started to analyse the Practice and he said > We are not going far with it,, and he started to lough comparing the Yamaha with the Honda wich was the strongest team at that time and our former team where we won 4 World Championship on row ..

We went to Donighton , Uk, to see the bike and it looked so bad , terrible.

Wondering about the Honda and compering with it , F****ing H***l .

Honda RC211 Straight 5- engine was a work of art

I had the opportunity to stay with it ( her), and it was beautiful, all of these Exhaust, in the middle and in between ..

But anuyway i tried the Yamaha , but it wasnt so bad but it had a problem wiht the engine delivery wich was so brutal and not smooth and difficult to manage ..

But the Yamaha when decide to hire me , they were very confident and humble to understand me and to do differently .

So they said : ” we done so terrible since now and we want to improve and to win with your accurate advice and vision

So they Put Masau Furusaua at the Project to improve the performance of the bike ,

So also Jeremy Bargis change at the beginning few things,

and at the end of the first 3 days , Mr Furusawa went to me and he said : What we cand do to improve the bike ..

I told him .. more less we are fine but the main problem is the engine that is not very smooth and give to me the feeling that it’s still link with the 2 strokes engine delivery

instead the Honda is more elettric and easy to ride

After 1 month we went to Philip Island , in Austrailia ,

2 times

3 days and after 3 more days

so 6 days, before the first Race in Welkom , South Africa .

And He brought to me 2 engine with the irregoular combustion engine like the Honda at that time

it was bit slower but the main problem it was so difficult to ride and manage it

So more less it was ok , but i told him taht we needed more power to challenge them.

So when they brought the update with bit more power my feelig was engaging and i was confident that we did a fantastic job to improve the bike comparing the last season and we could win since the first years wich at that time was madness even to wisper ..

Barcellona at the pre season test i was the fastest

But my feeling was that i was in a kind of bubble that i could win everywhere and in every condition

i could win even running by feet .

the vibe was awsome and electrify

So i have to say that i brought all my former team to the Yamaha becasue the treatment that i have that time was the same also for my team that they was looking after me

So we went to Welkom 2004 , first race of the calendar

That they as normal Champion to A legend

Even that with the weaker bike with Valentino’s Talent and knowledge
